PDP Primaries: Nigeria Youth Groups’ Salutes Atiku Abubakar

By Albert Okolie,

A contingent of Nigerian youth group leaders led by the National Youth Leader of the People’s Democratic Party; Hon. Sunday Kelly Enemchi Udeh-Okoye; in company of his deputy, Hon. Babangida Maina, paid a congratulatory visit to His Excellency; Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, at the Atiku Campaign Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday the 10th of October.

Speaking at the event, the National Youth Leader of the PDP expressed great pride unbehalf of the Nigerian youths for the successful convention in Port-Harcourt, and lauded the “free, fair, credible and transparent elections which produced Atiku Abubakar. He also stated that the candidate’s emergence was the beginning of a revolutionary movement, which would set the tone for a new administration that would benefit the youth through innovative strategies and sustainable policies.

“We know your contributions to the development of our beloved country, your pedigree as a seasoned politician who adopts an all inclusive approach to leadership, and your reputation as Nigeria’s highest indigenous employer of labour”.

“We are here because we are happy. It is not a secret that Nigerians have been celebrating for the past three days, because a man who can rescue us has overcome every hurdle on his path, and is finally here amongst us… you have done it in times past, so we have no doubt that you’ll do it again… nobody imposed you on PDP or Nigeria; you did not emerge like Buhari… APC as a party without ward registers and membership records claimed to have produced 14.8 million falsified votes for Buhari, and we the youth cannot be deceived into believing them. You emerged victorious amongst a dozen formidable contenders, and your victory has forced young Nigerians from other parties to surge into our party because they can finally see that your emergence is concrete proof that the PDP is performing at the level of integrity the whole country has been hearing about and yearning for”.

“You nurtured young leaders like Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the present Kaduna state Governor El- Rufai… you are well known as an exemplary employer of labour; mostly youth, and we the youth make up 64% of the voting public; we are here to say thank you for what you did in the past, thank you for what you are about to do, to congratulate you for winning the primary elections on our behalf, and to congratulate you in advance for an outstanding victory in 2019 by the grace of God”.

The event which was marked by cheering and uncontrollable waves of applause by an ecstatic crowd of youth leaders from across the length and breadth of the nation, was then addressed by Hon Ada Okorie; a prominent Women Leader of the party.

She congratulated His Excellency, all members of the PDP, and Nigerians in general. “We are not going to lose 2019 because we have our youth, our hardworking campaign DG, and the Distinguished ‘common sense’ Senator, Ben Bruce… above all, we also have God on our side” she started.

“It is time to work day and night, to make our vision of a better Nigeria a reality. We have to move to the markets, to our workshops, and to the streets. Nigeria has suffered enough for the past 4 years in pain… now we have to return home and do our job!”

She stated her requests on behalf of the women folk of the party, prioritizing security as the most pressing issue rending the hearts of every true Nigerian woman… “Ordinary people should be able to go to the market and return home safely, so we plead with Your Excellency to carry on the march to become the president, and put a final full stop to all the killings” she stated in conclusion as the crowd burst into Igbo songs of exaltation, irrespective of tribe.

Honourable S.K.E Okoye continued by pointing out to His Excellency, that despite having invited only 100 youth group leaders, the turnout to the event was overwhelming, due to the love, trust, respect, and support the Nigerian youth have for Atiku abubakar. He also noted that every group leader in attendance voluntarily funded their trip from all over the country, and that none of the attendees present would expect or accept a single naira for their show of solidarity as the APC and their propaganda machine would like to mislead the nation into believing.

He went on to say: “We are here with tears in our eyes, because a lot of us have lost our jobs, our livelihoods, our parents, and even our children, to this present administration’s divisive and destructive approach to governance, and we want you to march forward for us. You have our vote, you have our support, you have our mandate, you have our 64%, and victory is yours. Anything short of victory in the 2019 general election is simply APC rigging, which we shall not accept”.

The PDP Youth Leader then presented a majestic painting of His Excellency as a gift, which he hoped would be accepted on behalf of the Nigerian youth as a symbolic statement of their unwavering support from a neglected age demographic that has always been with, and will always stand by His Excellency.

Atiku Abubakar delivered his vote of thanks through the ecstatic din of the cheering crowd by addressing the youth as Nigeria’s most valuable assets. He thanked them for the nomination forms presented to him in the very same hall. “I hope I have not disappointed you since I have gone ahead to win the nomination on your behalf, as I promise to win the general election in 2019” he said cheerfully.

“The greatest beneficiaries of the government the PDP will form under my watch will be the youth… it is on record that as a Vice President, I engaged the highest number of youth in this country. If I could do it then, imagine how much more I would do when I am president… look at the APC’s cabinet members, party executives and government appointees, are there any youth?” he asked.

“Therefore; your future, prosperity, livelihood and welfare, is not with the APC… only the PDP will give young Nigerians the opportunity to have decent jobs, earn a living, build their homes, and have decent lives” he continued.

“You have the intellect, the capability and it is your responsibility, to make sure we all work together to send the APC packing in 2019. Therefore, I say thank you most sincerely for your demonstration of confidence which I shall never forget. You were the first to buy me nomination forms and again the first to congratulate me. Then copycats like El-Rufai saw the power of faith in you, and decided to claim that market traders in Kaduna followed your lead; even the sitting President who says he has had only 150 cows to show after such a long time,  also claimed that his nomination forms were bought for him. That just goes to show that you the hardworking youth are the ones that lead, while the APC government follows” he added.

In his closing remark, Atiku Abubakar urged the youth to remain steadfast in the pursuit of a greater Nigeria, assuring he would run a government that would promote, advance and protect the interest of the youths “until you eventually take over from us” were His parting words, as the auditorium erupted in uproarious chants of “ATIKU – LET’S GET NIGERIA WORKING AGAIN”.

Of the hundreds of PDP Youth Support groups represented at the event were the Atiku Youth Leadership Outreach (AYLO) and the PDP Youth Leadership Outreach of Nigeria (PYLON) amongst hundreds of others.

ATIKU ATIKU ATIKU WE WANT YOUR VICE FROM SOUTHWEST..STRATEGIC POLITICS. The problem will be Yoruba votes. The Igbos votes, south-south and Northcentral votes secured. Osun and Ekiti, may be secured, Middle-belt votes sure. I, therefore, strongly suggest that Atiku takes a Yoruba man as Vice-president, and split the Yoruba votes into two. Take it or leave it, that is the only way ot vote the present APC out of power. If Atiku, takes Igboman, then it will be pitching Igbos against the Yorubas, and Atiku will lose, It is now clear we zoned the presidency to the North. We zoned the Vice-Presidency to the South-West. Let start the music. During the Abiola June 12 issues, the Hausas asked Dr. Pius Okigbo to head the interim government. We the Igbo rejected it and advised him against it because will cause more ripples between the Igbos and Yorubas. He rejected the offer and Ernest Shonekan, headed the interim government. We do not want to be at loggerheads with Yorubas again

In case you have no idea.. Dont be mislead by any APC member please..
Remember 2015 after president Buhari assumed office, 74% of Nigeria workers lost their jobs , forcing several companies to relocate from Nigeria.
Three year after.. I can assure you guys that 60% are still jobless..

This is a chance for workers to get back to work. Get your #PVC, Vote #PDP, #VoteAtiku2019 #MakeNigeria_WorkAgain. The power is in your hand to decide whether to get your self a Job or not. Atiku represents #Unity and #progress
