39 parties to adopt Atiku as their candidate ahead of 2019

Thirty-nine political parties under the aegis of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) have announced their readiness to adopt the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary, Atiku Abubakar, as their candidate in the 2019 general elections.

The parties under the umbrella of CUPP, led by the PDP said they would adopt him as consensus candidate for the election in order to dislodge President Muhammad Buhari in 2019.

The CUPP, in a statement issued late on Sunday, October 7, by its spokesman, Ikenga Ugochinyere, said the process of his adoption would start this week. Former vice president, Atiku, won the PDP primary election to emerge as its presidential candidate for the 2019 presidential election in a 2-day national convention held in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

The group, in a statement on Sunday signed by Charles Kalada Dan-Jumbo, however, urged the presidential hopeful to consider apologising to the geo-political zone over events leading to 2015 polls.

HE Ex VP Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential mandate now given through PDP is a welcome development at the right time.
Most importantly, he suffered so much for Nigeria democracy to a point he took his former Boss to court for 3rd term bid which was a serious slab to democracy. He deserves the seat of Asso Rock from his past performances.

we will leave no stone unturn in ensuring the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as our President in 2019 by God’s grace. this we hope to achieve by adequate mobilization of our people both in the rural and in the urban areas.
One thing i wish to vehemently advise His Excellency, our President to be is that, he should know that he’s coming in like a doctor – who would heal the wounds of the poeple of Nigeria, also he’s coming as a messiah that would deliver this country, as such HE MUST NOT FAIL LIKE THE OTHERS DID. May God help him.
